About the role

  • Liaise with community groups to encourage and support fundraising events.
  • Target and engage new groups while maintaining and strengthening existing support.
  • Identify opportunities and implement creative plans to acquire new community supporters.
  • Develop and deliver ALONE initiatives such as the Christmas Jumper Campaign and School Talks.
  • Design and run creative fundraising campaigns across email, website, social media, and direct marketing.
  • Manage promotional stock (t-shirts, posters, buckets), including ordering, stocktakes, and distribution.
  • Coordinate and oversee community bucket collections.
  • Send regular updates, impact news, and engagement materials to community groups via Mailchimp.
  • Produce monthly performance and budget reports to track progress against targets.
  • Conduct market research on trends and influencers to strengthen engagement strategies and provide broader team support.

Requirements

  • Background or experience in fundraising or sales is essential
  • Self-motivated, flexible person who is committed to our mission
  • Experience in the voluntary sector and/or working with older people would be an advantage
  • Excellent inter-personal and donation relationship building skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and typing skills and experience with CRM system an advantage
  • Some knowledge of digital marketing using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and designing in Canva would be an advantage.
  • Experience in data management, Data Protection legislation an advantage
  • An ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and respect
  • Strong time management and excellent planning and project management skills
  • A full clean driver’s licences is required for this role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders both internally & externally
  • A collaborative team player who fosters strong internal and external relationships.
  • Problem-solver, using innovation to improve service delivery and support independent older person and the people we serve.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet KPIs.
