About the role

  • Intern managing community engagement for InfoComm's social media channels, fostering connection and interaction across platforms. Responsibilities include content posting, audience management, and relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Active Monitoring: Oversight of all social channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, etc.) each weekday to identify and respond to mentions, collaboration requests, tags, and direct messages.
  • Proactive Engagement: Initiating conversations by commenting on relevant industry posts, engaging with influencer content, and participating in community discussions.
  • Customer Advocacy: Acting as the "first responder" to audience questions or concerns, providing helpful resources, and routing inquiries to the appropriate team members.
  • Sentiment Tracking: Monitoring the "vibe" of the community and reporting on frequently asked questions, trending topics of interest, and any challenges our audience members bring up.
  • Community Growth: Identifying and reaching out to potential brand advocates or partners to encourage user-generated content and brand loyalty.
  • Event Support: Assisting with live engagement during InfoComm 2026 to keep the online conversation flowing.

Requirements

  • Passion for community management.
  • Comfortable using TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, and BlueSky; bonus points for Discord and Reddit.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools.
  • Awareness of social trends, memes, and general expectations on each platform.
  • Knowledge of the audiovisual industry isn’t required but it’s a big plus!
