About the role
- Community Engagement Coordinator supporting the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's mission. Providing administrative support for fundraising efforts and volunteer engagement within the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for Community Engagement staff, volunteers, and initiatives
- Partner to provide volunteer support during onboarding, training or role deactivation, granting access to email or other systems and resources, ordering supplies
- Implement best practices for your work within the department based on common requests
- Maintain a critical understanding of department workflows and efficiencies
- Coordinate and assist with departmental trainings and meetings
- Direct communication with volunteers, donors and community members via phone, text and email related to but not limited to recruitment messages, gratitude calls, team captain and fundraising campaigns
- Perform back-up Community Relationship Manager duties as required
- Assist in coordinating shipments and deliveries as required
- Utilize Raiser’s Edge and/or Salesforce database to track constituent relationships and actions, create and maintain volunteer, affiliate and event records and regularly clean-up data
- Schedule, attend & participate in various team and department meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year accredited university in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and practical experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Preferred years of experience is 1+ years in non-profit or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of interpersonal skills
- Provide excellent customer service
- Ability to anticipate the needs of staff and volunteers
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
- Able to independently judge situations and requests and act accordingly
- Able to handle multiple tasks with shifting priorities while still meeting deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with Luminate, Salesforce or other donor database software a plus
