About the role
- Cloud Engineer/Consultant at Liquid Reply working on cloud-native solutions and architecture migrations. Collaborating on implementation and automation for various cloud providers.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of cloud architectures and the migration of existing on-premises architectures to AWS/Azure/GCP
- Develop IaC deployments using Terraform or Pulumi
- Implement and automate CI/CD pipelines based on GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.
- Perform cloud cost engineering for system landscapes
- Assist our clients with cloud migration and application modernization
- Produce relevant content for clients and interested parties about our area of work (e.g., technical articles, blog posts, conference presentations)
Requirements
- Completed university degree in (business) computer science, (business) mathematics, physics, or a related field
- Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP); certifications are a plus
- Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or Pulumi
- Understanding of agile methodologies and the DevOps philosophy
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline automation is advantageous
- Familiarity with concepts, tools, or frameworks such as OpenShift, Mesos, Nomad, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and self-contained systems
- Very good communication skills in English and German
- Willingness to travel nationally on occasion
