Responsibilities
Oversee bookkeeping and accounting operations across multiple nonprofit clients (month-end, reconciliations, reporting, compliance).
Manage and review the work of bookkeepers to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
Serve as the primary client contact for assigned accounts, leading onboarding, financial reviews, and client communications.
Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring processes (AP, AR, reconciliations, reporting).
Support system setup and integrations (QuickBooks Online, Plooto, Float, Dext, Payworks).
Collaborate with the Company's Principal and senior team on resource planning, scopes of work, and delivery timelines.
Lead internal training and knowledge-sharing across the finance team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA designation or equivalent is an asset.
5-7 years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience, including 2-3 years in a management or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of accounting operations, month-end close, and reconciliations.
Proficient in QuickBooks Online, with experience using Plooto, Float, Payworks, or Dext.
Strong communication skills and proven experience managing client relationships.
Experience with nonprofits or professional services firms is an advantage.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in process improvement.
