About the role
- Lead and manage institutional client relationships across assigned regions (EMEA, Middle East, APAC)
- Deliver tailored investment solutions aligned with mandate requirements and evolving client needs
- Act as the lead relationship manager, champion clients internally and represent Insight externally
- Understand client investment objectives, constraints and strategic direction
- Maintain strong relationships with CIOs, Finance Directors and Global Heads of Pensions
- Identify opportunities to grow mandates, lead client pitches and support new business acquisition
- Maintain detailed client plans outlining strategic context, risks, opportunities and actions
- Provide ongoing investment dialogue and adapt solutions to changing market conditions
- Coordinate with Portfolio Management, Legal, Finance, Operations and Investment Specialists for seamless client servicing
- Project manage new client onboarding and transitions, including negotiation of legal agreements
- Contribute to product and service development and ensure clients are informed of developments
- Fulfil delegated governance responsibilities, escalate concerns and complete mandatory training
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in institutional relationship management or transferable skills from asset management, sell‑side financial services or consulting
- Strong understanding of investment management theory and practice
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages advantageous
- Regional knowledge of European institutional markets and/or familiarity with APAC or Middle East investment landscapes
- Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills
- Ability to manage relationships at various levels and across cultures
- Experience with physical and derivative-based investment solutions
- Proven track record in business development and sales, including driving revenue growth and delivering client acquisition strategies
