Responsibilities
Responsible for achieving Certified Pre-Owned sales goals and identify tactical marketing and incentive actions at both a national and regional level to improve sales and used car stock levels.
Develop and implement ongoing dealer training programs based on CPO process and procedures.
Responsible for updating and implementing Dealer Operating Standards (in collaboration with Network Development) clearly outlining Dealership facility, staffing and performance standards as it related to the certified pre-owned business.
Coach and influence the Dealers and develop the business care for VW and competitive used car buying (off-lease, off-rental) and selling.
Diagnose used car performance inhibitors, such as lack of knowledge, motivation, capacity constraints, and have the ability to develop a dealer specific business case and action plan to drive dealer engagement.
Act as a subject matter expert regarding used car operations, off-lease/remarketing activities and online marketing and capacity requirements.
Maximize dealer off-lease upstream purchases to retain strong resale values and mitigate losses on end of lease disposals by maintaining pre-owned sales and marketing programs.
Develop comprehensive ancillary revenue strategy to improve profitability in the dealer and Volkswagen Canada by providing customer focused measures in the following areas: accessories, finance products, extended warranty and mobility products.
Engage with internal and external providers to partner with to provide a customer centric mobility solution that allows customers to experience Volkswagen and make us a brand of choice.
Review sales process and propose a customer / dealer centric approach that creates improvements in: foot traffic and lead sourcing analysis including conversion rate measurement propose training and development strategies in partnership with network development to modernize our approach to retailing develop dealer performance comparison and best practice sharing approaches to maximize the performance in sales, customer satisfaction and profitability.
Requirements
Bachelor or Masters (Desired) Degree in Business or a related field
10+ years automotive industry pre-owned sales and strategy experience, 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
Retail, finance, lease, remarketing and wholesale experience
Strong budget and forecast management experience
Knowledge of residual value / lease rate development
Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet savvy
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to present effectively to large cross functional groups
Experience developing and presenting presentations to both corporate customers and dealers
Strong project management experience
French language skills considered a strong asset.
