About the role

  • Branch Manager leading operations and staff at Credit Union branch in Christiansburg. Driving financial performance and ensuring compliance and member satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an effective, consultative sales process that supports excellent member service
  • Coach staff to identify member needs and recommend appropriate Credit Union products and services
  • Open new accounts and submit loan applications for processing and decisioning
  • Monitor all branch activity to ensure compliance with regulations and adherence to organizational policies
  • Train new team members, prepare work schedules, and monitor performance
  • Serve as acting branch manager in the absence of the Vice President Branch Manager

Requirements

  • Three to five years of related experience in financial services, banking, or a similar environment
  • One of the following Associate degree, Specialized certification or licensing, Completion of vendor-led training programs, Equivalent job-specific skills gained through an apprenticeship or similar pathway
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, influence, and train others
  • Ability to build relationships with members and external partners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard office equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements, contracts, applications, and related documents
