About the role

  • Drive sourcing strategies, procurement activities, and supplier management for IT category
  • Create and update sourcing strategies, review spend, manage supplier relationships, and lead cross-functional teams
  • Lead cross functional teams to develop and implement global sourcing strategies that improve quality, delivery, service, total cost of ownership, cash flow and mitigate risk
  • Monitor global category market conditions, supplier innovation, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges & opportunities
  • Establish strong supplier relationships, manage category spend and supplier performance, act as primary escalation point
  • Conduct Quarterly Business reviews to measure supplier performance
  • Oversee supplier selection process and develop/execute negotiation strategies
  • Ensure commercial terms documented and NDAs, SOWs and Purchase Agreements executed
  • Perform contract life-cycle management and drive cost reduction and avoidance initiatives
  • Perform total cost and pricing analysis and monitor industry trends to achieve lowest TCO
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply risk and lead projects as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; Degree in business, supply chain or engineering related discipline preferred
  • 5+ years relevant experience leading a procurement category in sourcing, negotiating, contracting, supplier management and project management
  • Prior experience in IT global strategic sourcing and supplier management using strategic category management techniques
  • In depth knowledge of IT market and other industry trends such as SaaS, cloud etc
  • Deep understanding of software trends, commercial models, and industry-specific terminology
  • Proven track record of leading complex sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations
  • Success in selecting suppliers and negotiating contracts
  • Experience using benchmarking and cost analysis tools
  • Ability to influence and lead at senior levels
  • Prior experience working in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Medical device or manufacturing experience highly preferred
