About the role

  • Independently obtaining and reviewing quotes
  • Collaborating with product management and other relevant departments on product launches
  • Placing orders (for both stock-controlled and non-stock items)
  • Verifying and approving invoices
  • Handling supplier complaints and initiating corrective actions
  • Procuring QM certificates and supplier declarations
  • Independently managing inventory and stock control
  • Creating and developing reports (e.g., shipping data, procurement KPIs, SOX reports)
  • Participating in cross-departmental projects (e.g., product range rationalization)
  • Creating and maintaining item master data
  • Preparing export documents (pro forma invoices and export declarations)
  • Participating in and taking responsibility for internal and external audits of the department

Requirements

  • Degree or vocational training in business administration or a similar qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to draft and negotiate complex contracts
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Fluent German (spoken and written); good English skills are a plus
