About the role

  • Business Development Team Lead driving sales pipeline and mentoring BDRs at WGSN, a global trend forecasting authority. Leading a team to provide qualified leads to account executives.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the pipeline for the region served
  • Execute a set of demand-generation activities to meet defined regional pipeline targets
  • Support and encourage each team member's personal development plans
  • Provide structured, consistent coaching and guidance to the team
  • Ensure the team is prepared for campaigns, promotions and messaging (sector and competitive) targeted at specific industries, segments and accounts
  • Engage your sales development team in relevant demand-generation activities through consistent communication and results analysis
  • Anticipate issues through reporting and data analysis and manage the Salesforce lead queue
  • Promote best practices for using demand-generation tools within sales teams and share standard processes (e.g., SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Salesforce)
  • Act as the subject-matter expert on sales tools, processes and outreach strategies to guide Business Development Representatives daily
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to BDRs in their daily tasks, offering troubleshooting and real-time coaching
  • Monitor daily activities and KPIs and perform appropriate follow-up
  • Update SalesLoft cadences
  • Identify individual and team training needs and develop timely solutions to address them

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Advertising, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in sales
  • 2+ years of experience as a BDR or in an equivalent role
  • Previous experience in the SaaS or information services sector
  • Proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding targets through process-driven identification, qualification and closing of new business, as well as growth of the existing installed base
  • Experience developing and maintaining business plans, sales strategies and vertical market approaches, and negotiating and closing complex deals
  • Proven experience in building, training and enabling fast-growing teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent CRM reporting capabilities
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking nature
  • Ability to build strong commercial relationships
