About the role

  • Drive new sales while maximising up‑selling and cross‑selling opportunities
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through prospecting, lead generation, and conversion
  • Manage RFQs, improve hit rates, negotiate and secure orders
  • Develop and execute market and territory growth strategies
  • Analyse market trends to identify opportunities and overcome obstacles
  • Establish new routes to market and strengthen Cathelco’s competitive position
  • Lead face‑to‑face customer meetings, presentations, and technical seminars
  • Represent Cathelco at exhibitions, networking events, and industry forums
  • Build and sustain long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers
  • Manage and support the performance of agents and distributors
  • Provide accurate and timely updates in SAP and CRM systems

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in direct customer-facing business development
  • Proven track record in technical sales of engineered systems
  • Maritime sector experience highly advantageous
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • "Hunter" mindset with proactive approach to identifying and converting opportunities
  • Excellent organisational skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Highly self-motivated, energetic and results-driven
  • Confident in building credibility and trust with customers
  • Flexible and willing to travel extensively
