About the role

  • Lead generation & pipeline management – identify, qualify and manage prospects across corporate, B2B and development agency sectors.
  • Sales process leadership – run structured sales campaigns, track progress through CRM tools, and ensure next steps are actioned.
  • Proposal & pitch development – contribute to tender and proposal writing (including government bids, corporate RFPs and funding submissions), ensuring alignment with partner priorities and programme outcomes, and craft persuasive presentations with excellent written and spoken communication.
  • Service development & commercialisation – support the growth of new Foundervine services, including Canopy and Foundervine Spaces, by identifying potential clients, creating value propositions, and supporting the creation of go-to-market strategies.
  • Stakeholder engagement – represent Foundervine at events and ecosystem gatherings, promote our programmes, and build trusted relationships with decision-makers and influencers across corporate, NGO and public sectors.
  • Market insight & research – conduct competitor and market analysis to monitor trends in entrepreneurship, innovation, and DEI, positioning Foundervine competitively globally.
  • Cross-team collaboration – work with programme, marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery.
  • Strategic input – collaborate with the CEO on key, complex deals requiring senior oversight.
  • Adaptability & prioritisation – manage multiple projects, proposals, and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Business development administration – manage the day-to-day administrative aspects of Business Development, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders and maintaining CRM databases to a high standard.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or Management is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in business development, sales or partnerships, preferably in corporate or B2B settings.
  • Strong organisational, administrative, and coordination skills; able to manage multiple pipelines simultaneously.
  • Familiar with sales qualification frameworks (e.g. BANT, MEDDIC) and CRM tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; persuasive and professional.
  • Great adaptability, comfortable managing shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and multiple concurrent projects in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with experience in conducting market and competitor analysis to identify trends in entrepreneurship, innovation, and DEI.
  • Commercially minded, with an understanding of how to identify and shape opportunities into scalable service offerings.
  • Collaborative and proactive, with the ability to work cross-functionally with programme, marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Self-starter who views the role as an opportunity to grow and scale a mission-driven business, not just a job.
  • Exposure to international markets is preferable but not essential.
