About the role
- Accountant supporting financial statements and bookkeeping responsibilities according to HGB & IFRS. Collaborating on special topics and monitoring receivables in the German market.
Responsibilities
- Support with closing activities and the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB & IFRS
- Daily processing of business transactions in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and fixed assets
- Monitoring open-item (OPOS) lists and managing the dunning/collections process
- Handling special topics: provisions, prepaid expenses and accrued/deferred items
- Monitoring, controlling and adjusting allocation/internal chargebacks within the group, including intercompany reconciliations with other group entities
- Reporting to internal and external bodies (including VAT)
Requirements
- Completed commercial/business training or equivalent qualification in finance
- 3–5 years of professional experience in financial accounting
- User-level experience with SAP FI/CO
- Curiosity, sense of responsibility and a passion for the variety of topics in accounting
- Independent, structured and reliable working style
- Excellent German skills (min. C1) and good English skills
