About the role

  • Create and maintain the statistical forecast for the portfolio for all time horizons
  • Ensure statistical / sensed forecasts are created for the whole of their portfolio considering demand drivers at the agreed hierarchy level
  • Research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast performance
  • Monitor and report on KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy, forecast BIAS, MAPE, forecast value add) and provide insights
  • Select the best statistical model for items not modelled by the system considering seasonality, responsiveness, trend and stability
  • Contribute to Promotion Planning based on data insights
  • Run Machine Learning forecast and disaggregation to building blocks
  • Run automatic cleansing and ensure final output (cleansed data) completed in the system
  • Generate historical demand performance report and ensure needed actions are considered for forecasting
  • For new product introductions, analyze proposal of like-SKU and collaborate with Demand Planners to generate initial forecasts and consider cannibalization impacts
  • Optimize and tune statistical forecasts, updating system parameters after analysis to identify improvement opportunities
  • Track and monitor changes to allow for continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, applied math or other relevant degree
  • Strong understand of at least advanced planning systems and its functionality
  • Knowledge of ERP functionality, experience with SAP / Oracle / JDE an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in Forecasting (Statistical Techniques, Collaboration Scenario Modeling, Parameters modeling)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional drive, excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to immediately contribute in a collaborative team environment
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of client focus
  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail, with a desire to learn
  • English (role advertised with “English” in title)
