Accountant supporting financial statements, bookkeeping, and special financial topics in a dynamic sector. Engaging in various accounting tasks with a focus on quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
Assist with closing tasks and the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) and IFRS
Daily processing of accounting transactions in accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger, as well as fixed assets
Monitoring open items (OPOS) lists and managing the dunning/collections process
Handling special topics such as provisions and prepaid/accrued expenses (active and passive)
Monitoring, reviewing and adjusting internal allocation/chargebacks within the group, including intercompany reconciliations with other group entities
Reporting to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. VAT reporting)
Requirements
Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in finance
3–5 years of professional experience in financial accounting
User knowledge of SAP FI/CO
Curiosity, a sense of responsibility and a passion for the variety of topics in accounting
Independent, structured and reliable working style
Very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English skills
