About the role

  • Ownership and management of a portfolio of public liability incident and claims
  • Liaising with relevant parties
  • Assessing liability and financial exposure
  • Making recommendations for the future strategy of each claim
  • Achieving a superior result for our customers

Requirements

  • Understanding of Law / Tort / Contracts and State Jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of the role of brokers and industry stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of the client structure, fee structure and invoice process
  • The ability to assess quantum and reserve effectively
  • Familiar with identifying conflicts of interest and corporation models
  • Understanding allocated corporate clients and their culture
  • Time management and demonstrated ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Effective Negotiation and advocacy ability
  • Dispute resolution experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Experience of drafting documents and letter writing
  • Presentation skills
