About the role

  • Build and maintain relationships with funeral directors, cemetery owners, and preneed managers.
  • Promote offering from subsidiary and partner organizations.
  • Identify and secure new funeral home accounts through networking and outreach.
  • Drive consistent sales growth in new and existing accounts.
  • Assist new accounts with licensing, contracting, product training, and marketing support.
  • Serve as a key liaison to maintain long-term relationships and customer satisfaction.
  • Track and update account data, monitor industry trends, and maintain records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor level degree in business management is preferred or equivalent job experience.
  • 6+ years B2B traveling sales experience.
  • Funeral industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and changing agendas.
  • Must be in the state of Michigan or Ohio.
  • Must be willing, and be available, to travel extensively by car or air up to 80% of time.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet and maintain the appropriate state-licensing requirement to represent life insurance products in their assigned territory.
