About the role

  • Technical role in modern claims management assessing vehicle damages quickly and transparently. Involvement in regulatory processes with vehicles in the Berlin area.

Responsibilities

  • In the greater Berlin area you will take on a central technical role in modern claims management, assessing vehicle damage quickly, transparently and with a customer focus — including settlement within your delegated authority
  • You will document damage for liability and comprehensive (partial and full) insurance claims on all vehicle types on-site, via video call or using digital tools, determining cause and scope of damage
  • You will prepare liability and comprehensive reports, condition reports and technical assessments, as well as determine relevant vehicle values (e.g. replacement values)
  • You will review expert reports, cost estimates and invoices for plausibility and cost-effectiveness
  • Using modern, data-driven and AI-supported tools, you will develop well-founded settlement recommendations
  • Within your delegated authority you will manage and settle claims, coordinate partner workshops and service providers, and conduct advisory and negotiation meetings with customers and external partners — digitally or in person
  • You will actively support large-scale and multiple-claim events and contribute to specialist topics such as classic cars or e-mobility
  • In addition, you will participate in digitization and process optimization projects and support internal departments

Requirements

  • Master craftsman and/or technician qualification in the automotive sector or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in assessment, costing and claims settlement
  • Strong service orientation and confident communication and negotiation skills
  • Enjoyment of hybrid working and digital communication
  • Team player with willingness to share knowledge
  • Strong affinity for new technologies, data analysis and process automation
  • Confident use of MS Office and modern software tools for digital damage documentation
