Head of Sales for Marine Centre of Competence driving commercial development across Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal. Fostering key customer relationships and innovative sales strategies for ZF.
Responsibilities
Define and implement the sales plan for the marine segment in Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal aligned with global objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, shipyards, OEMs, and strategic partners.
Manage complex negotiations and high-value commercial agreements with private and public companies.
Develop and maintain ZF’s Service Partner & Service Point network to ensure service readiness.
Lead the European Centre of Competence to ensure synergy and develop the CoC 2.0 project for EU-wide strategy.
Monitor market trends, competition, and growth opportunities; provide insights for strategic decisions.
Plan workshop activities and related investments in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Oversee warranty management and represent ZF at major European marine fairs.
Requirements
Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in marine sales and technical roles
Strong strategic skills and market analysis capabilities
Proven ability to identify, develop (e.g., hybrid systems), and grow business from scratch
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Fluent in English; other European languages (Italian required, German/Spanish a plus)
Willingness to travel frequently within Italy and Europe (up to 70%)
Leadership experience with an entrepreneurial mindset; ability to work in a multicultural environment
