About the role

  • Lead and scale the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team
  • Build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales organization
  • Develop SDRs into top-performing professionals
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and sales leadership to refine outreach strategies and qualification quality
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of SDRs
  • Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and career development
  • Motivate the team to consistently exceed activity and pipeline generation targets
  • Ensure the team maintains a healthy database
  • Develop and execute outbound and inbound prospecting strategies
  • Ensure effective lead qualification, routing, and conversion into opportunities
  • Partner with marketing on campaigns, messaging, and lead nurturing programs
  • Work with sales on strategic targeted accounts
  • Establish SDR performance metrics (calls, emails, meetings booked, SQLs)
  • Track and analyze results to optimize workflows and improve conversion rates through the marketing funnel
  • Implement best practices for prospect engagement, CRM use, and reporting for the team and EXCO needs
  • Work with Sales Managers to ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities
  • Provide feedback to Marketing and Product teams on market trends, buyer pain points, and messaging effectiveness
  • Contribute to forecasting and pipeline reviews

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in sales development, business development, or inside sales, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership/management role
  • Proven track record of exceeding pipeline generation targets
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and inspire a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools (e.g., Gong, LinkedIn Navigator)
  • Industry knowledge of the energy and commodities market with a focus on data management / ETRM solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field (desirable)
  • Language skills (Spanish / German / French) (desirable)
