Responsibilities
You will take responsibility for the professional development and administration of the topic “LEAN Construction” for ZECH | Planning and Engineering
You will apply lean methods to the organization of site operations to achieve resource savings and quality improvements
You will ensure that improvements achieved through lean methods contribute to economic efficiency and that these benefits can be applied in future projects
You will conduct systematic analyses of construction processes to identify waste (e.g., overproduction, waiting times, transportation) and implement measures to eliminate this waste to improve efficiency
You will develop and implement standardized tools and procedures for project execution to ensure consistency and quality across all projects
You will apply scheduling and control methods to stabilize planning and construction processes in order to achieve productivity and quality improvements
You will maintain a company-wide network to promote the exchange of best practices and to support the continuous improvement and further development of lean methods toward a ZECH project delivery method
You will provide professional consulting and support to ensure a broad, company-wide implementation of ZECH methods
You will capture and document the results and progress of lean implementation and provide regular reporting
You will deliver training for employees and project teams to promote and ensure understanding and application of the ZECH project delivery method
Requirements
Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification
Further training in Lean Construction, Lean Management or process optimization is an advantage
Solid knowledge of and practical experience in applying lean methods and tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen and Kanban
Experience in analyzing and optimizing construction processes to identify and eliminate waste
Knowledge of project management, including planning, execution and monitoring of projects, is an advantage
Experience in developing and implementing standardized tools and procedures for project execution
Ability to deliver training and coaching for employees and project teams to promote understanding and application of lean methods
Confident use of common office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) and ideally experience with specialized scheduling and CAD tools
Strong organizational skills, good communication skills, efficient time management, attention to detail, flexibility and adaptability, problem-solving ability and a strong customer focus
