About the role
- Senior Database Analyst managing MongoDB, SQL Server, MySQL at YDUQS. Focused on optimization, project participation, and collaboration with tech teams.
Responsibilities
- Administration, support and optimization of databases: MongoDB Atlas, SQL Server, MySQL, AuroraDB and Oracle;
- Execution of activities such as: migrations, implementations, troubleshooting, performance tuning and index adjustments;
- Management of storage, tablespaces, filegroups and partitioning strategies;
- Planning and execution of backups, restores and maintenance routines;
- Monitoring of production, staging (homologation) and development environments;
- Ensuring data security, integrity, availability and replication;
- Participation in projects, application of patches, bug fixes and proposal of improvements;
- Automation of processes and adoption of data management best practices;
- Participation in database architecture decisions for critical technology projects;
- Collaboration with Development, DevOps, Information Security teams and Squads to improve data-related processes;
- Leading migrations, upgrades and database modernization projects;
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field;
- Solid experience as a DBA;
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI);
- Previous work with relational and NoSQL databases;
- Advanced SQL proficiency and tuning skills;
- Experience with monitoring and tuning tools;
- Experience with high-availability environments and disaster recovery;
- Experience with Oracle Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS) considered a plus;
- Knowledge of Data Governance, data masking and Oracle GoldenGate considered a plus;
- Certifications (MCSA, OCA/OCP, OCI, AWS, Azure, etc.) considered a plus;
- Knowledge of other NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Redis) considered a plus.
