About the role

  • Territory Manager leading technical sales team to expand markets in wastewater treatment solutions across the Eastern U.S. Driving adoption and managing key client relationships for innovative offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company's sales targets
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitors' activities
  • Manage and mentor sales team, including setting sales goals and providing training
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth sales process and customer satisfaction
  • Review and improve sales processes and policies to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Understand and stay updated on company's products and services
  • Provide technical support and advice to sales team and customers
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to showcase company's products and services
  • Conduct market research and identify potential new products or services to meet customer needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing clients
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions
  • Address any customer concerns or issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Prepare and manage sales budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure sales team meets or exceeds sales targets and objectives
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures to optimize sales operations
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the sales team
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure alignment and cooperation
  • Provide regular updates and reports to upper management on sales activities and results
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop effective sales strategies and materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Science or related field
  • 5+ years experience, with at least 2 years experience
  • 8+ years’ sales or sales related experience
  • Knowledge of Municipal Wastewater, biological equipment and clarification equipment
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in sales tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365, CRM systems)
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies and plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively
  • Experience managing Channel Partner Representatives
  • A strategic thinker with a test-and-learn approach to marketing efforts and process improvements.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate personnel, tools, and other resources efficiently to achieve project goals. Balance competing priorities and adapt as needed
  • End-to-End Project Management: Lead improvement projects from initiation to completion. Monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure timely delivery of measurable results
