About the role

  • Manager overseeing Wellness Center and wellbeing initiatives at WVU Medicine. Requires Bachelor's in health-related field and extensive wellness programming experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Wellness Center and Wellbeing initiatives for WVU Medicine and the Health Sciences Campus
  • Develops an annual operating plan based on employee needs and interest
  • Creates awareness of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle
  • Promotes programs and delivers services
  • Assesses participant/patient satisfaction and tracks all employee participation
  • Provides support in the operation of wellness programs
  • Offers annual wellness survey to all employees
  • Maintains responsibility for preparation and spending approval of wellness budgets
  • Develops and monitors policies concerning wellness programs
  • Manages the Key Rewards program for all insured employees
  • Oversees data analysis for outcome reporting
  • Works with Human Resources to link Wellness and Benefits
  • Provides ergonomic evaluations and makes recommendations
  • Ensures appropriate delegation of departmental activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field such as Exercise Physiology, Public Health or related field
  • A Wellness Certification
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
  • Six years’ experience in wellness programming, health promotion with one at management level
  • Masters preferred
  • Certified Wellness Practitioner
  • Three years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with wellness in health care industry preferred
