Responsibilities
Manages the Wellness Center and Wellbeing initiatives for WVU Medicine and the Health Sciences Campus
Develops an annual operating plan based on employee needs and interest
Creates awareness of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle
Promotes programs and delivers services
Assesses participant/patient satisfaction and tracks all employee participation
Provides support in the operation of wellness programs
Offers annual wellness survey to all employees
Maintains responsibility for preparation and spending approval of wellness budgets
Develops and monitors policies concerning wellness programs
Manages the Key Rewards program for all insured employees
Oversees data analysis for outcome reporting
Works with Human Resources to link Wellness and Benefits
Provides ergonomic evaluations and makes recommendations
Ensures appropriate delegation of departmental activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field such as Exercise Physiology, Public Health or related field
A Wellness Certification
Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
Six years’ experience in wellness programming, health promotion with one at management level
Masters preferred
Certified Wellness Practitioner
Three years of supervisory experience
Experience with wellness in health care industry preferred
