About the role
- Senior Contract Manager negotiating and managing commercial contracts for Workday's legal team. Supporting cross-functional teams and implementing contract practices in a corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary legal contract for Workday's legal team negotiating commercial contracts
- Manage workflow, document generation and review processes
- Review proposed modifications to contracts
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during contract review cycles
- Assist with maintenance of contracts management system
- Draft and revise contract wording
- Provide support to in-house legal staff
- Execute assigned projects as determined by needs of the business
Requirements
- Law degree (or equivalent qualification)
- Master’s or PhD in Law with at least 5–7 years of relevant experience managing contracts
- Demonstrated experience with complex commercial contract terms
- Proficiency in German language is essential
- Licensed to practice law in relevant European jurisdiction is highly desirable
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with a contract management system, e.g. Apttus or others
- Experience with e-signature software, e.g. EchoSign, DocuSign
- Open and honest in communications with all partners
