About the role

  • Chief Compliance Officer leading enterprise-wide compliance initiatives for property and casualty insurance company. Responsible for regulatory compliance, risk management, and governance oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise-wide compliance program for our property and casualty insurance company.
  • Advise the executive leadership team on compliance risks and control effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage enterprise-level compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the organization complies with applicable federal, state, and local insurance laws and regulations.
  • Oversee internal investigations into potential compliance violations or unethical behavior.
  • Report periodically to the Board on the status of the compliance program and key risk indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance, or related field; JD or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive compliance, legal, or regulatory experience in the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance regulations and property and casualty operations.
  • Experience leading or coordinating compliance programs in a decentralized or matrixed environment.
  • Certification(s) such as CCEP, CRCM, or CPCU preferred.
  • Experience interacting with state and federal regulators preferred.
  • Track record of effective collaboration across organizational boundaries preferred.
