About the role

  • Senior National Account Manager driving retail growth across DACH for sustainability-focused company Wild. Leading P&L management and cross-functional collaboration with retail partners.

Responsibilities

  • Business ownership: Full DACH P&L ownership, making investment decisions, proactively chasing down opportunities to hit ambitious DACH growth targets.
  • Setting the strategic direction: Work with the Head of Europe to define our growth strategy for the DACH retail business.
  • Build out our channel strategy - feeding into all teams within the business, aligned with business goals.
  • Strategy development - tailor our global retail plans to the DACH consumer, co-designing product innovation & tools you need to win in the DACH.
  • Define the POS and merchandising toolkit.
  • Data analytics: Analyse market trends, EPOS, and competitor data to identify opportunities and optimise performance.
  • Run promotional and pricing plans, ensuring these are aligned internally.
  • Review return on investment, tweaking the plans where relevant.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Manage sales forecasts, prepare monthly/quarterly business reviews, and track KPIs for performance analysis.
  • Relationship management: Management of key relationships with national retailers, creating cross-functional contacts to ensure we are set up for success.
  • Relationship development: Build out relationships with new partners, leading to country-wide launches with key partners, with Wild at the heart of the category.
  • Work with marketing, logistics, and product teams to execute successful campaigns, ensure product availability, and support new product development.
  • Foresee potential roadblocks and risks through cross-functional teamwork, finding solutions to mitigate before they arise.
  • You'll directly line manage our Account Executive (DACH), and mentor junior members of the wider retail team.

Requirements

  • Experience in DACH retail, ideally DM and Rossmann.
  • Proven track record of leading and growing major DACH retailer accounts.
  • Strong commercial acumen with extensive experience running a full retail P&L.
  • Extensive experience in negotiation and managing complex customer relationships.
  • Frequent use of data, forecasting systems, working with EPOS.
  • (Preferred) Experience building out DACH commercial strategy & strategic direction.
  • Fluent in German
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic, fast-paced team.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and sales forecasting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with a focus on results.
  • Strategic thinking - ability to think long term, tie to the overall objective of the business and set plans for growth.
  • Leadership, fully autonomous to run an account inclusive of full P&L ownership.
