About the role

  • Social Media Manager & Strategist developing multi-platform content strategies for a tourism brand. Collaborating with data analysts and creative teams at Maker Lab to enhance brand engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Social Strategist for a major tourism brand bridging data insights and creative execution.
  • Develop overarching content strategy and clear content pillars.
  • Collaborate with Data Analyst to translate complex data-led insights into actionable content strategies.
  • Author clear, insightful, and inspiring creative briefs for the Content Creator pods.
  • Stay updated on platform algorithm changes and emerging social features, adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Lead for strategic alignment of all deployed content.
  • Lead community management strategy, fostering engagement and brand advocacy.
  • Monitor key strategic metrics, advising on adjustments for audience growth and business objectives.
  • Oversee monthly reporting, blending social insights with creative hypotheses for continuous content optimization.
  • Strong copywriting skills required for social platforms.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in social media strategy, content planning, or digital marketing for major brands.
  • Proven experience in developing and launching successful, high-impact multi-platform content strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data, market research, and analytics into concrete, actionable creative and content strategies.
  • Strong expertise in authoring detailed creative briefs and coordinating creative teams.
  • Deep, up-to-date knowledge of social media platform algorithms, emerging features (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube), and community management best practices.
  • Experience in a leadership capacity, or proven ability to lead and oversee the work of team members or external agencies.
  • A proactive, self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex matrix environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills, and ideally, fluent in another Asian language to support the projects spanning APAC.
