Outside Sales Representative for PVI, selling B2B plumbing and HVAC products. Building customer relationships and managing sales in NYC and surrounding areas with a focus on business development.
Responsibilities
Travel through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and negotiate sales
Perform Inside and Outside sales activities to acquire new customers as well as project-based work for current customers
Build and maintain customer relationships and be point of contact for current and potential customers
Demonstrate products to Engineers, Contractors and Wholesalers by way of samples, catalogues and PDH Approved Lunch and Learns
Develop relationships with Facility Managers, Building & Business Owners, and other buyers using a consultative sales approach
Prepare marketing and sales reports and implement marketing projects
Attend trade shows and industry events as required to represent our products in the marketplace
Comfortable facilitating or leading training sessions for groups of 15 to 20 attendees.
Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Sr. Manager NY Sales or Company management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, and/or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or 4 plus years of equivalent work experience.
Proven ability to develop new business and close sales and proven business development skills and demeanor.
Experience working in the Plumbing and HVAC Industry
Technically oriented individual.
Must possess strong computer software skills (familiarity with social media, email, CRM, spreadsheets, and document programs).
Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into solutions.
Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, prioritize and close multiple sales leads.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish mutually beneficial commitments and expectations with customers, internally and externally.
