About the role

  • Sales Manager responsible for global portfolio development at DLG Markets, enhancing customer relationships and increasing revenue. Leading an international sales team and executing strategic initiatives in the agrifood sector.

Responsibilities

  • Building a global sales organization: developing and implementing a global portfolio sales function, including defining responsibilities for individual sales staff, reporting and performance management.
  • Acquisition and revenue responsibility: accountable for national and international new-customer acquisition as well as expanding sales relationships with designated existing customers to increase revenue.
  • Sales process management: ensuring optimal customer outreach and handling of customer inquiries across the entire customer journey.
  • Managing the full sales process, from lead generation and qualification to proposal preparation and after-sales service.
  • Account management: maintaining long-term customer relationships through regular contact and comprehensive commercial support.
  • Interface management: acting as the central interface between customers and internal service areas such as the trade fair team, marketing, IT and press.
  • Strategic leadership: further developing and implementing global sales strategies for our trade fair portfolio.
  • Market analysis: identifying growth potential and new business opportunities in global markets.
  • Trade fair and conference participation: actively representing the company at trade fairs and conferences to build contacts and expand our network.
  • Team leadership: leading and motivating an international sales team.

Requirements

  • University degree in business, marketing or agricultural sciences — or an equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of experience in international sales, ideally in trade fair or event management.
  • Experience building and leading agile, international sales structures.
  • Strong understanding of the agricultural and food sectors and a high affinity for international markets.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills combined with intercultural competence.
  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
  • High degree of initiative, goal orientation and strategic thinking.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
