About the role
- Purchasing Specialist managing supplier relationships and optimizing costs for Azul's procurement needs. Handling strategic sourcing and ensuring compliance with contracts while promoting efficiency in purchases.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure the company obtains the best products and services at the best cost;
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure contracts meet the company’s needs and are effective;
- Monitor contract compliance, ensuring suppliers fulfill their obligations and that products or services are delivered as agreed;
- Market analysis: Conduct market analyses to understand price trends, product availability, and innovations that may impact company procurement;
- Work to reduce costs and optimize the purchasing budget, always seeking the best cost-benefit ratio;
- Ensure all purchasing and contracting processes are properly documented and comply with internal policies and external regulations;
- Collaborate with other areas of Azul to understand their procurement needs and ensure they are met efficiently;
- Lead highly complex strategic negotiations and cost-reduction projects;
- Develop new supply sources and solutions that contribute to process innovation and total cost reduction;
- Develop cost-reduction projects considering total cost of ownership (TCO) and risk analysis involved in contracting;
- Responsible for supplier qualification strategy;
- Implement new processes and systems, contributing to strategic planning and translating plans into goals and projects;
- Create and manage performance indicators to drive continuous improvement, using harmonized strategic sourcing methodologies and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree completed;
- Postgraduate degree preferred;
- Knowledge of supply chain management, business, or related areas;
- Advanced English preferred;
- Knowledge of technical contracts (aeronautical contracts are a plus);
- Experience in industry will be considered a plus;
- Experience with strategic sourcing processes, spend analysis, and TCO;
- Solid experience negotiating contracts and contractual clauses (adjustments, SLAs).
