About the role

  • Responsible for all activities relating to the procurement and management of purchase orders
  • Handles backorder situations and informs customers of delays
  • Places all orders utilizing EDI, faxing, or by phone in a timely manner
  • Reviews order confirmations for exceptions and responds to discrepancies
  • Monitors and reviews open PO report and PO confirmations
  • Works closely with receiving to ensure accurate processing of items
  • Expedites past due orders by contacting vendors
  • Researching and comparing suppliers, goods and services

Requirements

  • 1 year progressively responsible experience in administrative support
  • PC skills and experience in a windows based environment is required
  • HS diploma required
  • Associates degree preferred in a business-related area
