About the role

  • Procurement specialist negotiating and executing purchasing processes for electronics and chemicals in Germany. Seeking suppliers and ensuring product quality with a focus on strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement processes: Negotiate and manage operational and strategic procurement processes for electronic components, chemical products, hazardous goods packaging, and capital goods
  • Procurement strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies for defined product categories, taking price and value analyses as well as relevant quality indicators into account
  • Supplier management: Proactively source new supply channels domestically and internationally and continuously expand our network in the area of innovative technologies
  • Quality assurance: Ensure delivery reliability and product quality and independently maintain all relevant master data and pricing
  • Procurement controlling: Oversee and monitor procurement performance and derive measures for optimization
  • Projects: Lead complex procurement projects and contribute your expertise to cross-functional tasks

Requirements

  • Completed commercial training: You have successfully completed commercial training and have at least two years of professional experience
  • Further training & technical knowledge: Ideally, you have further training as a certified purchasing specialist or solid technical knowledge
  • Purchasing experience: You have several years of practical purchasing experience in a manufacturing company and a strong technical understanding
  • Contract knowledge & IT: You have sound knowledge of contract drafting, in-depth technical understanding, and confident PC/IT skills
  • Demeanor & language: You present yourself professionally and purposefully and possess negotiation-level English skills (business fluent).
