About the role
- Strategic Sourcing Analyst developing strategies for Advocate Health’s supply chain. Managing sourcing processes, supplier relationships, and cost optimization initiatives within a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supports developing and executing sourcing strategies for Advocate Health
- Assists with the end-to-end sourcing process, including supplier identification, qualification, selection, negotiation, and contracting

- Supports cost-saving opportunities through comprehensive analysis of utilization, pricing, and contracting
- Supports strong relationships with suppliers
- Collaborates with sourcing leaders and other relevant stakeholders
- Assists in production of metrics and performance indicators
- Serves as role model and mentor to Analyst
- Aids in developing Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Invitations for Bid (IFB)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field preferred
- Typically requires 5 years of demonstrated, progressive work experience in healthcare supply chain/procurement
- Knowledge in system-wide purchasing strategies and processes
- Demonstrated successful contract negotiation skills
- Sound knowledge of inventory management and related accounting processes
- Extensive knowledge of analytical/mathematical/statistical methods
- Skills developing strategic and tactical plans to meet business objectives
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and qualitative skills
