Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures to improve production, equipment usage, job performance and quality of product methods.
Continually and proactively demonstrate strong leadership through training, motivating and developing team members.
Ensure employee retention goals are met through recruiting, selection, orientation, and training.
Ensure company policies and guidelines are followed, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Conduct timely and accurate employee performance evaluations and address performance issues.
Review monthly budget with Accounting Department to ensure efficient cost control.
Develop and implement production plan in order to meet established goals.
Determine capacity planning and coordinate personnel and machine usage.
Review production lists and prioritize production schedules accordingly.
Monitor flow of raw materials, parts, and miscellaneous items; prepare purchase requisitions.
Drive improvements in production through Viega’s continuous improvement process.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years of management/supervision experience
Knowledge of policies and procedures regarding Health and Safety issues
Knowledge of computer programs including SAP, Kronos, Microsoft Excel, Word
Good organizational Skills
Ability to carry out instructions in written, verbal or diagram form
Ability to prioritize and resolve problems
Ability to comply with quality system procedures
Ability to make purchasing decisions up to $1,500
Ability to multi task
Ability to communicate both written and verbally with all levels of the organization
Ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality while continually performing at the highest possible level.
