- Manager, Production Line overseeing employee retention and quality production at Viega. Responsible for efficient scheduling, continuous improvement and staff management.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures to improve production, equipment usage, job performance and quality of product methods.
- Continually and proactively demonstrate strong leadership through training, motivating and developing team members.
- Ensure employee retention goals are met through recruiting, selection, orientation, and training.
- Ensure company policies and guidelines are followed, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Conduct timely and accurate employee performance evaluations and address performance issues.
- Review monthly budget with Accounting Department to ensure efficient cost control.
- Develop and implement production plan in order to meet established goals.
- Determine capacity planning and coordinate personnel and machine usage.
- Review production lists and prioritize production schedules accordingly.
- Monitor flow of raw materials, parts, and miscellaneous items; prepare purchase requisitions.
- Drive improvements in production through Viega’s continuous improvement process.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of management/supervision experience
- Knowledge of policies and procedures regarding Health and Safety issues
- Knowledge of computer programs including SAP, Kronos, Microsoft Excel, Word
- Good organizational Skills
- Ability to carry out instructions in written, verbal or diagram form
- Ability to prioritize and resolve problems
- Ability to comply with quality system procedures
- Ability to make purchasing decisions up to $1,500
- Ability to multi task
- Ability to communicate both written and verbally with all levels of the organization
