Responsible for the full cycle accounting of the Veridos Canada
Oversee the full accounting cycle, including general ledger (GL) maintenance, inventory accounting, payroll reconciliations, accruals, bank reconciliations, pre-payments, and tax accounts
Ensure all accounts are accurately reconciled to the GL and supported by appropriate documentation
Prepare monthly customer invoices and perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of monthly sales and cost of goods sold (COGS)
Process vendor payments via EFT and wire transfers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls
Prepare the Fixed Asset Continuity Schedule and execute monthly depreciation runs in SAP
Prepare weekly cash flow reports and monitor liquidity to support operational requirements
Complete monthly Sales Tax and HST filings in accordance with regulatory deadlines
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner
Reconcile intercompany transactions and collaborate with other Veridos business units to resolve outstanding balances
Lead the monthly IFRS financial reporting process, including analysis of financial statements and income tax-related items
Prepare, monitor, and analyze operating expense and capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets as needed
Review the accuracy of Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims and stay current on developments in sales tax and corporate tax, assessing impacts on the organization
Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and addressing audit inquiries
Manage month-end and year-end closing activities within SAP to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Identify gaps in financial policies and processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
Perform additional ad hoc tasks and support special projects as required
Requirements
7+ years of relevant work experience of full cycle accounting
Canadian accounting experience is required, US experience is a plus
Knowledge and experience with SAP
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite programs
Advanced skills in Excel (i.e.: databases, pivots, nesting complex formulas)

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
