About the role

• Senior Accountant managing subledger accounting for Lovehoney's German entities. Overseeing operations and guiding a team of accounting professionals in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all subledger accounting activities for our German companies, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
• Provide functional guidance and support to a team of up to three accounting staff, fostering collaboration and high standards.
• Actively participate in operational accounting tasks, working alongside your team.
• Ensure the implementation and ongoing improvement of efficient accounting processes and internal controls.
• Confidently and securely use relevant functions in our ERP system (NetSuite) as part of daily work.
• Ensure compliance with German statutory accounting requirements (HGB) and support the preparation of financial statements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and other finance teams, to support group-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Solid experience in operational accounting, ideally in a multinational environment.
• Experience in functional leadership, mentoring, or guiding a small team.
• In-depth knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and local compliance requirements.
• Confident user of ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in German and English.
