About the role

  • Oversees a team of Territory Managers in the foodservice distribution sector, driving sales and account management. Focuses on coaching, training, and strategic planning to achieve company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a group of Territory Managers in selling the Company's products and services.
  • Direct TMs against opportunities in closing and acquiring new accounts.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to TMs.
  • Lead a group of TMs to achieve Division sales and penetration objectives.
  • Submit and administer annual street sales operating plan and budget.
  • Leverage roles to assist TMs in reducing time on administrative tasks.
  • Conduct market research to determine customer needs and provide information to sales staff.
  • Recruit, train and mentor new hires as well as existing TMs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • A minimum of five years of foodservice sales experience required.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as customer service and presentation abilities.
  • Must have proficient computer skills, preferably in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
