About the role

  • Account Operations Tech 3 responsible for resolving billing problems at UNM Medical Group. Supporting patient inquiries and ensuring account accuracy for effective revenue cycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of complex functions to resolve involved billing problems and issues.
  • Handles patient customer service calls and inquiries.
  • Addresses patient billing questions and concerns.
  • Manages patient account resolution including filing insurance and processing patient payments.
  • Researches and provides reports on resolved invoices.
  • Prepares adjustment and refund request forms.
  • Ensures strict confidentiality of patient medical and financial records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree from an accredited institution above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.
