Responsible for business relationships with suppliers, including mapping and engaging interactions with management, technical, marketing, and supply teams
Assist in the implementation and execution of procurement, supply, sales, marketing, financial, and logistical strategies
Support and lead the negotiation of pricing and buying plans
Close partnership with procurement, finance, and accounts payable to resolve supplier issues and remove supply chain obstacles
Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, push products, and supplier engagement
Provide regular market updates to the field sales organization on assigned products and coordinate training with suppliers for both technical and commercial topics
Provide mentorship to the sales teams and others on day-to-day issues, e.g., pricing, service, procurement, and supply
Facilitate business growth and communications relevant to the assigned market
Requirements
Master’s degree in a technical field (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred)
Successful experience (minimum 2 years) in sales and/or product management
Proven technical knowledge in the Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers and/or Lubricants (raw chemicals) industry
Analytical skills to develop strategic, data-driven decisions
Ability to develop and grow positive relationships with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Procurement, Finance, etc.) and suppliers
High level of decision-making ability, balancing supplier needs and company objectives
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage diverse and significant workloads
Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities
Fluent in Italian and English
Knowledge of SAP and/or Salesforce is highly preferred
Availability to travel across Italy up to 50% of the time
