About the role

  • Director of Sales & Business Development at The Travel Corporation. Responsible for driving profitable business growth and developing long-term strategies in the travel industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Track emerging markets and trends.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing Key Accounts.
  • Evaluate existing partnerships and sales efforts.
  • Expand the company profile by attending networking events.
  • Conduct webinars and presentations to raise brand profile.
  • Select prospective clients and negotiate contracts.
  • Fulfil requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Collaborate on Custom Group Quotes and improve materialization.
  • Work with the marketing team to deliver collateral and presentations.
  • Member of incident response team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field; master's degree is advantageous.
  • 5+ years of proven business development and/or sales experience.
  • Relationship management experience in the travel industry.
  • Strategic planning skills and exceptional leadership.
  • High degree of numeracy and ability to assess financial opportunities.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Lead generation and management experience would be regarded.
