About the role

  • Strategic finance manager providing analytical guidance for Wholesale Technology & Operations at Truist. Leading financial reporting, forecasts, and compliance with GAAP.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic business consultant to supported lines of business
  • Lead performance evaluations and prepare executive-level financial insights
  • Own development of short- and long-term forecasts and the annual financial plan
  • Provide financial guidance for new product development, pricing, and investment opportunities
  • Mentor analysts and ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and related training
  • Eight years of relevant accounting or finance experience that includes complex financial analysis
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Proactive in completing tasks and producing deliverables
  • Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sound and logical decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Familiarity with GAAP
  • High proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other basic software products
  • Financial Modeling experience
  • Supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Chartered Financial Analyst (preferred)
  • Master's degree of MBA (preferred)
  • Specific financial services or specialized industry experience (preferred)
  • Proficient in Essbase/Hyperion, EPM/BPC, or other enterprise accounting software (preferred)
  • Experience with macros/VBA (preferred)
  • Analytical experience (preferred)
  • Problem-solving (preferred)
  • Experience reviewing large amounts of financial data (preferred)
  • Experience using Alteryx or Tableau (preferred)
