Financial Accountant responsible for assisting in Finance functions of Zego Insurance Limited. Involvement includes financial statements, treasury management, and regulatory submissions.
Responsibilities
Assisting in all areas of the Finance function
Preparing monthly Management Accounts
Preparing annual Financial Statements
Liaising with both internal and external auditors
Handling all aspects of the Treasury function including both banking and investments
Reporting to reinsurers as required
Preparing and submitting regulatory returns
Involvement with the preparation of forward-looking business plans
Preparing information for Board and Committee meetings
Requirements
Strong Microsoft skills plus experience of working with accounting packages.
Strong practical accounting background. Some experience of insurance accounting would be useful but not essential as training will be given.
Some knowledge of banking platforms.
To be comfortable operating in an autonomous and dynamic environment.
A willingness to “get your hands dirty” if required, both within the finance function and the wider company operations.
An ability to communicate well within the Company and the wider Extracover Group.
A desire to self-improve and develop - hopefully to a point where the successful candidate would be capable of stepping up to the Head of Finance role.
An ability to challenge current working methodologies and offering up and implementing alternative, more efficient solutions.
