Responsibilities

conduct media relations outreach in coordination with clients’ PR goals, targeting national, local and trade print, broadcast and online outlets
develop media relations materials such as pitches, media advisories and talk points
secure and coordinate media interviews, successfully facilitate incoming media inquiries
successfully coordinate and staff media events, with ability to proactively manage media
accurately report publicity results to internal leadership
maintain contact and build relationships with clients on a day-to-day basis, and assist with client management, meeting deadlines and budget expectations
write and edit high-quality materials, including media, messaging and marketing collateral
support in the development of strategic PR plans to meet clients’ business or marketing goals
develop and maintain systems for keeping accurate account of client deliverables
be accountable for the delivery of client work to account leads in an accurate and timely manner
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree; minimum 2 years related professional experience preferred
excellent writing, editing and presentation skills including the ability to write polished media and client materials
proven media relation skills including the ability to consistently secure media results and independently manage media opportunities
strategic thinking and the ability to effectively express concepts to clients and senior team members
interact professionally with high-level client executives, possess excellent interpersonal skills
solid account management skills including the ability to lead and take ownership
must be independent and work well on a team; proactively contribute recommendations to enhance results
detail-oriented and dedicated; proactive and enthusiastic with an ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; a quick learner
interest in and regular consumption of local and national media (newspapers, magazines, blogs, podcasts, tv, radio) and social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, etc.)
proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Canva and all social media platforms
