About the role

  • Trading Analyst supporting day-to-day wholesale power trading operations in Birmingham, AL. Forecasting prices and developing bids while ensuring data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily trade operations, using our tools to provide quantitative analysis and support
  • Document market activity and hypotheses for fundamental drivers of prices in different locations on different days
  • Perform analytical work to improve our forecasts and to suggest possible strategy improvements
  • Assist data team with the implementation of new data sources, mappings between data sources, and ensuring data integrity for our day to day trading efforts

  • Proficiency in Excel is preferred, but not required
