About the role

Responsibilities
- Support our client’s tailings and mine waste management and operational teams to ensure their facilities are safe.
- Provide the technical and operation support for Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs) and Water Storage Facilities (WSF).
- Fulfill the role of an Engineer of Record (EoR).
- Civil/Geotechnical/Tailings dam design.
- Geotechnical analyses using various software packages.
- Understanding of tailing deposition modelling (Muk3D).
- Geotechnical and environmental site characterisation.
- Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems.
- Project/task management and proposal preparation support.
- Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications.
- Client Development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field. (required)
- Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field. (preferred)
- At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software (required)
- Knowledge of numerical modeling tools. (preferred)
- Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
- Valid Australian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
