About the role

  • Personal Injury Pre‑Litigation Assistant preparing accident claims for litigation. Ideal for those passionate about developing expertise in personal injury law.

Responsibilities

  • Investigating and gathering evidence to determine whether cases should proceed to litigation.
  • Preparing files for issue, including assessing merits, obtaining liability evidence, securing medical reports, and instructing experts.
  • Managing a **high‑volume caseload** with accuracy, organisation, and confidence.
  • Taking clear, detailed instructions from clients, witnesses, experts, and union partners.
  • Making informed decisions under supervision, using sound judgment and strong analytical skills.
  • Working efficiently within a KPI framework and recording time accurately.
  • Using a case management system to produce your own work and stay fully self‑sufficient.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a legal environment.
  • Strong client‑care skills and confidence communicating by phone or in person.
  • Knowledge of PI law, Pre‑Action Protocols, CPR, and funding (or the ability to learn quickly).
  • The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage a busy caseload.
  • Excellent drafting, numeracy, and written communication skills.
