About the role

  • Copywriter for a social-first digital marketing agency specializing in trends and internet culture. Crafting engaging content and brand voices across social, digital, and paid media.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with social and culture
  • Mine the internet, culture, and trends to spot moments where brands can authentically join or lead the conversation
  • Be the online voice of our brands
  • Develop and maintain distinct, consistent brand voices across social
  • Concept and craft social-first ideas
  • Develop campaign platforms, content series, and brand acts that start in social but can stretch into larger experiences and stories.
  • Write scroll-stopping content
  • Draft clever replies, humorous posts, meaningful lines, hooks, carousels, scripts, and short-form copy tailored to each platform’s behaviour and best practices.
  • Collaborate with makers and managers
  • Partner with Content Creators, Social Media Managers, Art Directors, and other Copywriters to create assets from idea to execution.
  • Write high-performing paid ads
  • Develop paid social and search copy (Google, Microsoft, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.) for e-commerce, awareness, B2B, and lead generation, balancing creativity with performance.
  • Think SEO and discoverability
  • Create SEO-conscious copy for blogs and landing pages that still feels human, on-brand, and engaging.
  • Juggle multiple brands and projects
  • Manage timelines, shifting priorities, and multiple briefs in a fast-moving, always-on environment.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of professional experience with copy or content writing
  • A genuine love of social culture, trends, and internet communities, and a clear point of view on how brands should show up there
  • Post-Secondary education in a relevant field, such as English, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing
  • Experience with critical thinking and high-level strategizing
  • A strong portfolio of previous projects
  • Prior agency experience is a plus
  • Experience with Project Management software such as ClickUp and Forecast is a plus
  • Experience writing paid search ads (Google and Microsoft ads) and paid social ads (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) for e-commerce, awareness, b2b, and lead generation
