Responsibilities
Lead with social and culture
Mine the internet, culture, and trends to spot moments where brands can authentically join or lead the conversation
Be the online voice of our brands
Develop and maintain distinct, consistent brand voices across social
Concept and craft social-first ideas
Develop campaign platforms, content series, and brand acts that start in social but can stretch into larger experiences and stories.
Write scroll-stopping content
Draft clever replies, humorous posts, meaningful lines, hooks, carousels, scripts, and short-form copy tailored to each platform’s behaviour and best practices.
Collaborate with makers and managers
Partner with Content Creators, Social Media Managers, Art Directors, and other Copywriters to create assets from idea to execution.
Write high-performing paid ads
Develop paid social and search copy (Google, Microsoft, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.) for e-commerce, awareness, B2B, and lead generation, balancing creativity with performance.
Think SEO and discoverability
Create SEO-conscious copy for blogs and landing pages that still feels human, on-brand, and engaging.
Juggle multiple brands and projects
Manage timelines, shifting priorities, and multiple briefs in a fast-moving, always-on environment.
Requirements
3-5+ years of professional experience with copy or content writing
A genuine love of social culture, trends, and internet communities, and a clear point of view on how brands should show up there
Post-Secondary education in a relevant field, such as English, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing
Experience with critical thinking and high-level strategizing
A strong portfolio of previous projects
Prior agency experience is a plus
Experience with Project Management software such as ClickUp and Forecast is a plus
Experience writing paid search ads (Google and Microsoft ads) and paid social ads (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) for e-commerce, awareness, b2b, and lead generation
