About the role

  • Cloud Sales Specialist responsible for developing cloud sales opportunities alongside partners and field sales teams. Driving awareness, enablement, growth, and profitability of Ahead’s Cloud Solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a position as a cloud first thought leader
  • Facilitate and lead strategy workshops focused on Cloud Migration and Modernization
  • Present on cloud strategy and Ahead Digital Solutions offerings in Executive Briefings
  • Align and interact with senior leadership across multiple business units
  • Own Ahead and partner KPIs and build/manage business to exceed targets
  • Align to partner sell-with resources (Account Executives, Solution Architects, Partner Sales Managers, Industry/Workload Specialists) to facilitate joint account planning sessions and ensure Ahead is the preferred GTM Partner
  • Work with strategic ISVs to drive Cosell motions
  • Develop deep understanding and manage all execution relating to partner funding and incentive programs
  • Work alongside a team to plan deployments to cloud platforms using a number of tools
  • Lead project kick-off, status reporting, and close out activities for Partner funded services engagements
  • Continuous collaboration with Professional Services, Sales, and Business Development teams
  • Coordinate and host cadence call for all parties critical to region success
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, identify and quantify variances and perform corrective actions with transparency to all stakeholders

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of delivering consultative/advisory services to large enterprise clients in the areas of technology, organizational, and operational transformation
  • Minimum of 5 years in the IT System Integrator, Resell, or ISV industry
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, or other related field
  • Preferred – master's degree in business administration or information technology
  • Experience migrating organizations to public/private/multicloud
  • Ability to engage customers and quickly understand business initiatives and potential challenges to success
  • Broad business perspective including knowledge of business accounting/financials, supply chain, marketing/sales, mergers/acquisitions, etc.
  • Fundamental understanding of infrastructure, applications, hybrid, edge, and cloud technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with traditional hosting technologies (e.g. server virtualization, dedicated hosting
  • Cloud computing platform experience in Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure - certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of tools capable of gathering information to plan deployments
  • Balance of strategic and tactical skills
  • Understanding of migration concepts and mechanisms (e.g. The 6 Rs; synchronization mechanisms - block, image, file; sequencing and application grouping; landing zone/blueprints)
  • Expertise in OS, networking and cloud architecture fundamentals
  • Strong and Compassionate Leader with Executive Presence and Team skills
